San Francisco Mother and Daughter is a cultivar of the tropical ornamental croton plant Codiaeum variegatum, valued for its distinctive long, narrow, leathery leaves that often look like it has a small “daughter” leaf emerging at the tip of the main leaf, adding visual interest to indoor or outdoor greenery.

• Water: Daily in the morning.
• Extra: Occasional leaf misting can help maintain humidity, especially where the air is dry. Pay attention to your plants’ signals: drooping leaves suggest watering is needed, browning leaves may indicate being overwatered and may need a skip on watering.
